Build the lab with us
We are building Sheng Lab at Westlake University to explore how bioelectronics can help us understand living systems as they grow and change.
We invite curious people from electrical engineering, mechanics, materials science, computer science, neuroscience, biology, AI, and any other related discipline to help shape our questions and our community. Bring your interests, your perspective, and a willingness to learn with others.
Explore our research ↗A supportive place to grow
We want a lab where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas early, and being honest about what is not working. Constructive feedback helps everyone learn.
We help one another with experiments and analysis, share what we know, and recognize each person's contributions. Mentorship combines clear guidance with the freedom to develop your own questions and scientific judgment.
Doing science together should be enjoyable. We hope to build a friendly community through everyday conversations and time together beyond the lab. We value different backgrounds, mutual respect, and room for life outside research.
